The Redoubt Fortress & Military Museum

One of the places we visited whilst in Eastbourne was The redoubt fortress & military museum, which so happened to have a Roman historical event for the day that included period costumes and a gladiatorial re-enactment.
The museum itself is a sprawling lesson of the fortress' 200 year history from the Napoleonic era to World War II, beautifully set hallways with offset rooms filled with treasures from officer uniforms to medals, swords and paintings. There's a lot to learn for young and old, many interactions for children such as places to let their creativity shine with chalk and whiteboards to interactive areas such as phones with actual recordings of shellfire of the world wars. The top of the fortress provides amazing views of Eastbourne's beach and a perfect place to see the centre of the fortress which on our particular day included a Roman re-enactment which was fun to watch while also being informative. All-in-all the fortress is a must-see for anyone visiting Eastbourne so while down set a couple of hours aside and take a look for yourselves.

Day Trip To The Beach - Great Yarmouth

Couple of weeks ago had family day out at to the beach, it's our little tradition for the last couple of years we've been going to Great Yarmouth, sadly I've not always attended. This year it was so hot which is rare as it's been warm yes, raining stormy weather but not hot like this all day long, superb weather.

Great Yarmouth is sand and pebble beach, with still the old skool feel to it which I love. Everybody just enjoying themselves, friendly family environment, it was great day out, I even got to dip my feet in the water with some assistance (help), I did get bit wobbly towards the end as by then I was exhausted but glad I got to enjoy myself nonetheless.

Do you have tradition with family/friends/partners a place (location) you go to every year? I would love to hear.

Birthday OOTD

So it was my birthday the other day, bla bla. Was taken out by my sister with my niece to this lovely location for my birthday, the weather was perfect, lucky girl me. I talk more about the actual day out in seperate blog post. However I loved my outfit so much, it would be rude not to show.

Don't know why, one eye is shut, however still like this pic.

Niece and I enjoying some ice cream, yum.

The bad news is, the whole outfit was borrowed, the good thing about being the same size as my Mum, I get full access to her fab wardrobe, gotta to enjoy the perks. And the footwear borrowed as well. I do love the print, and the flow to this whole outfit. Yes my niece is wearing a JLS T-shirt as she loves them, oh not to mention she loves One Direction oh dear, lol.

What do you think of the outfit, my Mum be beaming if she hears you love it? Oh isn't the background lovely....

Natural History Museum

Day out to the Natural History Museum and can I just say it was refreshing, things like this I don't get to do often for obvious reasons, so for me it was extra special. I did need to take fair amount of breaks, as my body can't handle to much walking and standing. Whilst there had flash backs of my childhood, as that was my school excursions visiting museums here etc. The things you learn at school about certain things was all there. Being there I felt like I was learning all over again, freshened the brain. Museum has history about planets/Earth, humans, when animals began and where, natural disasters, rocks, jewels, plants and dinosaurs how cool.

I did take ton of pics however didn't want to overload this blog post, also it's quite dark in lot of places, so my pics wouldn't of done it justice. Over all I enjoyed it, my eyes was every where, wanting to touch everything like the big kid that I am. The best bit for me was the moving dinosaurs, I felt like I was in Jurassic Park, I've watched it dozen times if not more, so for me it was like being on movie set. Yes the pictures above, doesn't it look freaking realistic. If you never been before, and you love bit of history you should defiantly go if you are able to (people that live in the UK and are able to travel to Central London), plus it's free entry why not..... And my little goody that was bought for me from the gift shop was fridge magnet, I have thing for fridge magnets and key rings/chains ( I am little collector), perhaps I do blog post on it, if anybody is interested?!

Chicken Bun Love

Back at home- dinner time

Went China Town with the girly's Daisy and Jo while back, this was one of the area's we visited on our day out together. I must say I always love going there, each time has been fond memory. Not only is there good food but also you have cute Asian shops that sells beauty items etc, little supermarkets, indoor market.

My eyes, perhaps my belly saw the food stand, lined up and bought me Chicken Bun, which I teamed up with my rice that was from my doggy bag (big lunch with the girls- separate blog post) which I had for my dinner when I got home, it was delicious, yummy in my tummy.

Fancy being my dinner date?!

Good Day Mate (Part One)

Jo and I met up for long over due catch up. Spot of shopping but mostly window shopping, took me to some cool shops, that I instantly fell in love with.

I want to buy food from here if I could. Blame Jo haha.

Yummy food, cooking lessons and cooking utensils.
Then it was time for lunch, belly rumbling the both of us. So food and cocktail it was. Both chatting away, as we quite similar in many ways, we discovered.

Where we ate.

Cocktail was quite a kick. Little snippet of the gorgeous Jo. My Aussie Wifey.

Shared dish.

Mmmm Dessert
Yes there is water, we still responsible adults. Just as I thought the day was done, received an Aussie Indoor BBQ invite by the lovely Jo at hers, so the fun continues in part two. Where I learn some Aussie slang words by Jo's flatmates, me trying to do the accent, which in it's self was funny if I do say so myself. So stay tuned.
To Be Continued.....

Seeing London Through Somebody Else's Eyes

Westminster
English weather always forever changing.
Thames
Taking in the sights.
Having sit down break, soaking up the atmosphere.
Trafalgar Square, setting up The Chinese New Year Celebrations.
China Town
I had special friend who came to visit, doesn't live in London, we went tracking around some of London, I was the tour guide haha.
So many times as a Londoner I ignore the beauty of the city, it was great seeing London in somebody else's eyes, seeing the excitement, the enjoyment, made me have new appreciation of the city I live in. We take it for granted the history we have, all the multi cultures in one place. Hope you like the few pictures I took from the day. Needless to say I was super exhausted afterwards, however it was great day.
