Caribbean Food From Tooting Market

Everyone always talk about the big markets in London, however plenty of small markets that can be gems whether its food clothes there is market for it. What's great about Tooting Market is having variety of cultures under one roof from Portuguese to Caribbean which I be discussing in this blog post.

I love me some Caribbean food I am bias as that's part of my background. Walking through the market and my greedy eyes was like yes I need me some nibbles from this place, unfortunely didn't write down the name of the Caribbean take out as I was just focused on the food, and having banter with the worker, however it's easy to find once you step into Tooting Market, so lets just pretend for sec I'm not bad blogger. The service was great, attentive which for me is bonus of course not to the point where its over the top or invasive. The food, right again bad blogger slap on the hand, I scoffed down my food without taking pics sorry. However still can tell you how it tasted, our order dumplings, carrot&ginger juice- oh that had kick to it, when that ginger hit you oh my, chicken pattie- the patties wasn't crumbly as sometimes the pastry falls apart when you buy patties from Caribbean bakeries/restaurants/takeaways , chocolate & coconut cake with rum in it- only had bite of that as I'm not big fan of coconut, but still could appreciate the taste, salmon & banana plantain- simply delicious, you would assume that combo doesn't work but seriously fits well, worth having a try and going just for that, just typing about it is making me want it, mmm (daydream). . I felt satisfied with my food and would definitely go back.

Finally grew some balls not literally of course posted whole profile of myself (pic above) so I'm no model but who cares, not going to photoshop myself to look perfect nah bullocks to that. Putting that aside, are you someone that visits you're local markets or other little markets? let me know.

Natural History Museum

Day out to the Natural History Museum and can I just say it was refreshing, things like this I don't get to do often for obvious reasons, so for me it was extra special. I did need to take fair amount of breaks, as my body can't handle to much walking and standing. Whilst there had flash backs of my childhood, as that was my school excursions visiting museums here etc. The things you learn at school about certain things was all there. Being there I felt like I was learning all over again, freshened the brain. Museum has history about planets/Earth, humans, when animals began and where, natural disasters, rocks, jewels, plants and dinosaurs how cool.

I did take ton of pics however didn't want to overload this blog post, also it's quite dark in lot of places, so my pics wouldn't of done it justice. Over all I enjoyed it, my eyes was every where, wanting to touch everything like the big kid that I am. The best bit for me was the moving dinosaurs, I felt like I was in Jurassic Park, I've watched it dozen times if not more, so for me it was like being on movie set. Yes the pictures above, doesn't it look freaking realistic. If you never been before, and you love bit of history you should defiantly go if you are able to (people that live in the UK and are able to travel to Central London), plus it's free entry why not..... And my little goody that was bought for me from the gift shop was fridge magnet, I have thing for fridge magnets and key rings/chains ( I am little collector), perhaps I do blog post on it, if anybody is interested?!

Shopping - Let's Check It Out

Darker in real life

Liberty is one of those type of buildings that stands out in it's own, popped in checked out the beauty section, we couldn't resist.
The famous Carnaby Street. So Daisy and I wanted to check what is all the fuss about Monki, as it's all over YouTube girls have been raving about this place, and a bit in the Blogging world, so dragged Jo in with us not literally of course but you know got to create some story to this, any who went in, as neither of us have ever been nor gone to the concession in Selfridges. Sadly for me it didn't live up to the hype, perhaps it's just me, I know I don't always have the same taste as others, which is fine. However I still liked the store, and would go in if in the area again. I did buy a purse from there, £5.99 or £6.99 sorry I know it's one of those prices, which has become my regular one. Love the colour (comes in other colours to), material and it's affordable.

What's your thoughts on Monki? have you shopped there, if not would you like to?

Seeing London Through Somebody Else's Eyes

Westminster
English weather always forever changing.
Thames
Taking in the sights.
Having sit down break, soaking up the atmosphere.
Trafalgar Square, setting up The Chinese New Year Celebrations.
China Town
I had special friend who came to visit, doesn't live in London, we went tracking around some of London, I was the tour guide haha.
So many times as a Londoner I ignore the beauty of the city, it was great seeing London in somebody else's eyes, seeing the excitement, the enjoyment, made me have new appreciation of the city I live in. We take it for granted the history we have, all the multi cultures in one place. Hope you like the few pictures I took from the day. Needless to say I was super exhausted afterwards, however it was great day.
