Birthday Beauty Haul

Elizabeth Arden- mascara, eye cream, make up remover in make up case.

Already opened this, used it. Don't you just love the packaging.

Very late, birthday beauty haul. All the items was bought for me from family and friends (thank you). Thought I share, as I rarely do beauty posts. Must say I am excited to finally try what every blogger mum has and that is Apocalips by Rimmel. Each item I am looking forward to using, experimenting, and taking hundred pictures of it, me sitting there looking at them like it's virtual gallery. Yes, don't act like you don't do it either, don't leave me hanging...

Beverley Knight Lipstick

Swatches Top: Blackberry, bottom: Cardinal.
If you are curious what's on  my nails it's
Ultra Voilet by Rimmel Pro collection.

Blackberry

Cardinal

I thought I'll make a change and talk about lipstick. These beauties was pressies from Christmas last year,  thank you Mum. I know what you thinking why does the name seem familiar, well that's because it's the singer, songs like 'Shoulda Woulda Coulda' loved that song, 'Come As You Are' if you don't know her, google it.

Never knew Beverley Knight has a cosmetics range, it was delightful surprise, as to be honest I don't know many ethnic cosmetics besides the US brands like Iman etc. So to have a Brit even more better, as it's home turf. The lipsticks is what it says on the tin (that being the little box of course), intense indeed it is. Very moisturising and creamy, vibrant, don't need lip gloss or anything. However I still always use lip balm etc as my skin is generally dry. The longevity of it well let's put it this way been out all day, had dinner and everything still had full lippy on, granted the colour wasn't as vibrant like from the start, but I didn't feel the need to touch up (that sounds wrong but you know what I mean). Would say be careful on how you apply it because you may want to mute the colour depending on your mood or skin tone or how brave you are with colour or the time day/night.

The only sad thing is not sure if this brand still exists, however I know if you look on Amazon click here you'll be able to buy it. Such a shame it never got the attention it deserved.

The Body Shop Meet Lily Cole Event

I was lucky to be plus one to this event, thank you Jo. Entering the place was instantly greeted, helpful and tended to. The room smelled full of  lovely aroma's, just like when you enter Body Shop's on the high street. We was offered mixture of fresh juice or wine. Massages which I took full of advantage of, had to be done, oh I loved it. Make overs, got some tips from the MUA, even got top up on my lips, lip gloss from Lily Cole's new range, what I liked about it, wasn't sticky/gloppy, smells delicious, and makes me want one now...

Got to hear about the history, background information, all the charity work that they do, and their staff does. What goes into The Body Shop, how certain products are made. Very insightful talk, it actually gave me new found respect for this company, I've grown up using this brand here and there, knowing the basic info. Lily Cole gave her talk, she's such amazing person, all the work she does for charities, it was pleasure to meet her, have a one to one talk. Over all great event.
